The Order of Knight Masons is a sovereign Masonic order that oversees the ancient Irish degrees, known as the Red Cross or Babylonian Degrees. These degrees hold significant esoteric and symbolic value, centered around the theme of building the second Temple. The ritualistic and allegorical teachings within Knight Masonry offer profound insights into Masonic philosophy and tradition.<\/p>

Knight Masonry consists of degrees conferred within a Council of Knight Masons, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Council of Knight Masons. The Grand Council was formally established in 1923 to manage these degrees, which were previously administered by Royal Arch Chapters, Preceptories of High Knight Templars, and even a Prince Rose Croix Chapter. The Grand Council of Knight Masons in the USA was founded on February 18, 1967, to further the order’s work and extend its influence.<\/p>

The Order of Knight Masons is a chivalric Masonic order, open to Master Masons who are also members of a Royal Arch Chapter, though membership is strictly by invitation. Members, known as Knight Masons, meet in Councils that are governed by the Grand Council of Knight Masons, USA. This prestigious order not only honors a Mason’s achievements but also provides a platform for continued exploration of Masonic teachings and fellowship.<\/p>

Knight of the East Degree<\/h4>

The Knight of the East degree, also known as the second of the Red Cross or Babylonian Degrees, continues the narrative of Zerubbabel\u2019s efforts to rebuild the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
